Short answer

Synthflow is an AI voice agent platform now sold only as an enterprise contract, starting at $30,000 a year according to its pricing page. There is no self-serve plan, no free tier, and no trial mentioned. Our score is 2.9 out of 5, held down by that entry ticket and the absence of any published per-minute price.

What does Synthflow actually sell in 2026?

A phone-based AI voice agent platform, sold as an annual enterprise contract and nothing else. The official pricing page no longer shows a single self-serve plan. It shows contracts starting at $30,000 per year, with the final figure set by call volume, concurrency, the telephony you pick, integrations, and security requirements.

What the contract covers, per that same page: an SLA, native or SIP telephony, CRM and calendar integrations, a DPA, and launch support. That is a familiar sales motion among vendors aiming at contact centers. You do not sign up, you negotiate.

Our overall score is 2.9 out of 5, on a listing verified September 23, 2026. It breaks down as price 1.5 out of 5, free tier 0.5 out of 5, ease of use 4 out of 5, features 4 out of 5, and GDPR 4 out of 5. The first two criteria pull the score down, the other three hold it up.

Why is the price score only 1.5 out of 5?

Because $30,000 a year is a floor, not a price, and no per-minute rate is published. You cannot estimate what a call costs before you talk to a salesperson. For anyone comparing tools on paper, that is a blind spot.

Set it against the other voice platforms in our database:

Tool Published entry point Free credits or trial Price score
Synthflow annual contract from $30,000 per year none 1.5 / 5
Retell AI $0.07 to $0.31 per call minute $10 in credits at sign-up 4 / 5
Vapi $0.05 per minute of hosting, plus providers $5 in credits 3.5 / 5

The gap is not only about the amount, it is about legibility. Retell AI publishes a per-minute range and a component breakdown: $0.055 per minute for voice infrastructure, $2 per month for a phone number, $8 per month for each concurrent call beyond the 20 included. Vapi publishes $0.05 per minute of hosting and passes models through at provider cost. Synthflow publishes an annual floor.

What does Synthflow do well?

Three things, and they explain the 4 out of 5 scores for ease of use, features, and GDPR.

Launch support first. The contract includes help getting live, which changes the nature of the project. You are not assembling the model, the voice, and the transcription yourself the way you would with Vapi. That is what earns the 4 out of 5 on ease of use, where Vapi sits at 2.5 out of 5 on the same criterion.

Telephony second. Native or SIP, depending on what you need. For a contact center that already runs SIP infrastructure, that is the condition for the project to be feasible without replacing the stack.

Compliance third. The Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS v4.0.1, with a DPA available on request. It is the longest list among the voice platforms we have verified. Vapi lists SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI DSS v4.0.1. Retell AI lists SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 plus HIPAA.

Where does Synthflow host your data?

We could not verify it. No hosting region appears on the official pages we checked, pricing page and Trust Center included. That does not mean the vendor keeps it quiet, it means we did not find it published, so we do not present it as settled.

That is why our GDPR score stops at 4 out of 5 despite a dense certification list: certifications attest to process, not to location. In our reading, the gap matters most if your calls involve patients, bank customers, or European employees. In that case, ask in writing during the negotiation and have the answer written into the contract, alongside the DPA. A vendor selling at $30,000 a year and up can afford a precise answer.

For comparison inside the same family: Vapi documents an EU region, with each organization belonging to a single region. Retell AI states the opposite, processing and storage in the United States, with documentation noting that it does not yet operate services inside the European Union, while offering a DPA with EU standard contractual clauses that can be signed online at no cost.

Who is Synthflow a good fit for?

Large companies and contact centers that want voice agents deployed with full support and have a substantial annual budget. Three conditions need to line up, in our reading.

You have volume. A $30,000 per year floor only makes sense if the calls handled run into the tens of thousands. Below that, you are mostly paying for access.

You do not want to build. With no technical team free to assemble and maintain a voice agent, launch support is the bulk of what you are buying. That is a defensible trade.

You have hard compliance constraints. The certification list and the DPA speak to regulated sectors. Check the hosting anyway.

If one of the three is missing, the math degrades fast.

What can a small business use instead?

Two options in our database, both without an annual contract.

Profile Tool Billing model Watch out for
Non-technical team that wants to launch fast Retell AI, scored 3.6 / 5 $0.07 to $0.31 per minute, 20 concurrent calls included no EU hosting, community and email support outside Enterprise
Product or dev team that wants to pick every part Vapi, scored 3.7 / 5 $0.05 per minute of hosting, plus model, voice, and transcription total cost is yours to assemble, jump from $29 to a $999 minimum between Core and Pro

Retell AI starts with $10 in credits at sign-up and no mandatory subscription. Vapi starts with $5 in credits, 4 concurrent calls, and 14 days of raw data retention. Either way, you can price a pilot before signing anything, which the Synthflow model does not allow.

If you are still scoping the project, our dedicated pages run the numbers: what a minute of calls really costs with Retell AI and what the Vapi plans add on top of usage. For the platform choice itself, see our comparison of Retell AI, Vapi, and Synthflow.

Should you request a quote from Synthflow?

Yes, if and only if your call volume and compliance constraints match the profile above. In that case the quote is your only way in, since no per-minute price is published and no trial is offered.

Ask for three things in writing every time: the per-minute cost implied by the contract on the table, the data hosting region, and the DPA. None of the three is publicly legible today, and a quote that leaves them out does not let you compare against a usage-based platform.

If your volumes are uncertain or the project is still at the test stage, the call is easier. Start usage-based elsewhere, measure your real minutes for a few months, then come back and negotiate with figures in hand. You may find that per-minute billing is enough. The full listing sits on our Synthflow page.

Frequently asked questions

Does Synthflow still have a free plan or a trial?

No. Synthflow's pricing page no longer shows a free plan, and no trial is mentioned on it. The former self-serve plans have disappeared from that page in favor of enterprise contracts only.

How much does Synthflow cost in 2026?

Contracts start at $30,000 per year according to the official pricing page. The exact amount is set by call volume, concurrency, telephony, integrations, and security requirements. No per-minute price is published.
